It's a little embarrasing since it's not really socially acceptable for men to cry in public.

It happens more when I'm happy or moved rather than when I'm sad.

For example, I'll tear up when I'm really proud of my kids or if I'm watching/reading/listening to an uplifting story.

I'm going to be a real mess when my daughter gets married someday.

Only if I sustain a forceful impact in the groinal region.

EDIT: Someone was going to make that joke eventually, figured I might as well be first.

More seriously, no, I don't cry easily. My dad does, but no-one in my mother's family does.

i cried when they had 9-11 "quilts" on the mall in d.c. i guess that was pretty appropriate... i think i cried because my gf was bawling her eyes out.

other than that, i just cry at the end of chick flicks. im such a wuss.

so what are you saying... don't put yourself in situations where you might get your heart broken?

I read that as saying FelixDeKat does not have a heart. *shrugs*

I don't cry much but a couple movies always get me. The endings of Apollo 13 and Mr. Holland's Opus come to mind.

I cry whenever I'm walking the streets and the wind blows into my eyes real fast... my eyes tear. By the time I get to class, girls just ask "Why are you crying?" I respond.. "Its the wind outside, I don't know it gets me teary eyed"

They look disgusted and walk away.. heh.. story of my life :D

I used to cry at the end of click flicks, romances, etc, those sad movies, whenever I was sad, whenever I was down, whenever anyone I cared for was hurt, etc. However, I haven't cried all that much in the last year. I've built up such an emotional barrier that it's hard for anyone to penetrate me. That's coming down, though. My new family is awesome, they actually love me, and I love them. The last time I cried was right after my birthday party, last December, when my little five year old nephew ran up to me, jumped on me, gave me a big hug, and said "I love you uncle Andrew". It was so touching... that kid is my brother's, but I love him like he was my own. It's amazing how being in a loving family (vs one sent straight from hell) changes everything.

But yeah, I'm starting to cry more easily again. For example, I felt like crying, but didn't (solely to be 'strong' emotional support), when my best friend's girlfriend broke up with him on Christmas Eve. He had even thought about marrying her, and he loved her (and her little girl) like nobody else. I still feel down that it happened to him, but I guess that he'll be better off in the long run.

I'll tear up easily in sad parts of movies. Still feel like a dumb-ass even though I know it doesn't matter.

dude that's all good... showing emotion can be something that's just fine... people who are too emotional tend to get annoying around people who are not emotional... but there is nothing wrong with it, IMO... i'm not an emotional type, but i don't think that's really sissy or whatever some other skids would call it. it's all good.

I had problems with crying when I was younger because I hadn't fully developed control over my emotions. I still find that sometimes when I'm VERY mad.... beyond pissed... I still have tears when yelling or screaming. Most for me it had to do with me bottling everything up when I was younger and not letting it out. WHen it did come out, it would flood out....

My dad has cried maybe twice that I've ever witnessed. Therefore, my brother and I NEVER cry.

However, I've been taking wellbutrin for a few months (for concentration; not depression) and I think it makes me more susceptible to crying. I cried when I got a speeding ticket in a school zone. It just seemed overwhelmingly unfair at the time because I was driving a minivan because my car got totalled in an accident. And here I am.. getting a speeding ticket in a minivan. (I know now that I wasn't in the school zone when he got me and I plan on protesting - but I didn't gather my thoughts and just cried at the time)

I really don't cry, though. My ex girlfriend, who I went out with for 2 1/2 years, said once that she wished to see me cry at least once to know that I am a vulnerable human too.

I hope this wellbutrin doesn't make me cry any more. I don't cry.

I'm the silent impassive guy here, unless I'm in serious pain. In situations where most people would cry I get angry or end up completely apathetic to the situation. A little over a year now I tore an ACL playing highschool football and I cried

. It wasen't one of those man why did this happen to me cry's either, it was one of those, "HOLY SH*T THIS HURTS SO BAD, I CAN'T BREATH, WTF, MAKE IT STOP!!!!!" type cries. It was a silent cry though, lots of thoughts going through the head type deal.

Unfortunately I'm pretty indifferent towards any emotional situation which gets people thinking I'm an asshole on some occasions, especially when that person is emotionally sensitive. Being straight edge has definitely helped me through the rough times pretty well.
