Any other Black Sabbath fans out there?

I currently find myself listening to the entire Paranoid album quite frequently. Does anyone else here appreciate the classic awesomeness of Black Sabbath?

good album. I don't throw it in that often, but it wouldn't be wrong.

Great album, but I like Master of Reality just a bit more.

First 4 Sabbath albums are great....try to find the ones that have not been remastered(destroyed by loudness)

I'm kind of partial to Sabbath Bloody Sabbath but the first 4 were great albums.

Unfortunately the only copy of "Paranoid" I have is the 2004 Deluxe Edition. I'll try to find the earliest edition CD when I feel like it. I'm currently using a pair of Sennheiser HD205s for my music. (Not the best but they get the job done to my satisfaction.) I'll be picking up a pair of Grado SR80i's when I have an extra $100 to spend.

Yes, one of the founders of heavy metal.

I like their earlier stuff, especially Masters of Reality.

CD??? lol. If you want a real "earliest edition", get on ebay and find an LP.

Black Sabbath is more then just about the music, its about an era. To really appreciate the era, you need an LP, and not a CD.

To the OP, yea, I am an old time Sabbath fan.

Back around 1982, 1983,,,, somewhere in there, a buddy of mine and I used to listen the Black Sabbath (the title song off the first album) backwards. It seemed logical to us, if Ozzy was trying to tell his fans something, it would have been on the title song of the title album.

Same here, it helped that at the same time the media was starting to go nuts on Ozzy and Motley Crue, publishing articles about hidden messages on their albums. lol, I loved the 80's.

Old school Sabbath fan - Though 'Born Again' was the last effort of theirs I really liked. A couple years too young to have seen them live with Ozzy. Caught the Mob Rules tour with RJD singing as one of my first concerts.

The 80s were great indeed, wounds from the Vietnam conflict were starting to heal, groups like Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Motley Crue, Ronnie James Dio,,,,, were branded Satan/Devil worshipers.

I see the late 70s through the 1980s not really as a rebirth, but its like our nation went through a healing process. With movies like Rambo bringing attention to what happened to our troops in Vietnam, the unique music of the time, the war on drugs, HIV/AIDS, end of the cold war, there was a lot of stuff going on.

To me, Black Sabbath is more then "just" music, its memories of an era that has passed away.

I'm an insane black sabbath. I love everything they did, whether it was with Ozzy, Ronnie, Ian Gillan, Glenn Hughes or Tony Martin

I like quite a few Black Sabbath Songs. War Pigs is one of my favorite rock songs. Iron Man, Into the Void as well.

Yeah, I'm a pretty big fan. I was always a punk-rock fan as a kid and still have that kind of simple-is-better aesthetic, so I particularly like early Black Sabbath.

The first 3 Sabbath albums are godly. The self titled is probably my favorite

Somewhere floating around in my box of rock memorabilia is a flyer from a night club in London advertising Black Sabbath this Saturday night circa 1962.
