When I loaded up my new machine with Win98SE I was suprised to see an A drive show up under my computer since I don't have a floppy drive installed. I was even more suprised to see that it was reading as a 5.25 floppy drive. I've tried everything I can think of and can't get rid of the F%#@ing thing. It doesn't show up under device manager so I can't delete it there, I've turned the FDD controller on and off to no effect, I've told it in the BIOS that there is a 3.5 FDD which does at least change the drive icon that shows up to be that of a 3.5 but as soon as I turn it off again it goes back. I really don't want to have to go and buy a FDD just to shut this thing up but I suppose I do what I must.
