Anyone else counting their lucky stars they graduated a year ago instead of this year?
For those who are graduating this year, are possible job openings difficult to find?

I don't mean for this post to be a "smear it in your face" post, I'm just curious how hard the outlook of the economy has made it to find a job.

I graduated last semester. (in december)
I had an offer from every interview last semester. Today, every company I got offers from, including the one I work for now either has a hiring freeze or is laying off.

I graduated with a B.S. in engineering back in 1992, in a much deeper recession than the one we are having now. That's the only reason I went to grad school - it paid $25,000 a year. By the time I got my Master's (1994), the economy was on the upswing and I've had the same job software engineer) ever since. A recession is a good reason for grad school!
