Okay folks.

My current MB is a Abit BH6, circa 1998 Slot 1 w/ P3 750Mhz; and I in the next 10-20 days I will buy a Abit IC7 and a P4c 2.4Ghz CPU and at least 512MB Ram-maybe even a Gig.

Now when I got my last MB 5 YEARS AGO :-( This one was/is a true O'C champ. And I'll be getting the above combo as I've heard it has sooooo much great potential for O'C and adding AT LEAST 600Mhz+ to just a 2.4Ghz P4.

But here?s the read kicker, I've been out of it when it comes to Overclocking for such a long time now, and I know that to do it successfully these days and on the above hardware, is a lot different from what I did almost 5 years ago. So basically what I'm looking for is some net links and guides online that would explain how to O'C a P4 (hopefully the new 'C' processor).

I need info. on the following:

1. Successful O?Cing with P4 and the FSB ratios and all that
2. What is the deal with all of the DDR Ram settings? I keep on hearing about 'aggressive' timings n such, like 2-2-4-6. I have no Idea what this means, but I better If I want to O'C my next system, right
3. By FAR, the most difficult selection for my whole new system will be the RAM. Are there any DDR 3500 or 3700 Ram guides out there?

Of course those above, are just the first of a few questions I know I'll have. BUT ANYTHING, anyone can do to help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million

P.S. Do you think if I go with a Springdale board, I?d have less success with O?C?
