any one try ubuntu 10.04 yet?

If you are looking for anything significant, installing the Alpha version of Ubuntu isn't going to be a good idea.

so far nothing spectacular..
I did an "upgrade" from 9.10 to 10.04alpha and no visible changes as of yet. may try a clean install and see if i notice any differences, but so far identicle to 9.10

that sounds like such a boring way to spend time...what are you looking for, exactly? if you want a bleeding edge distro, debian sid is worth looking into...and if youre not very experienced with linux, youd probably learn a few things, if thats of interest to you.

im on winter break. 3 weeks to do nothing except read and tinker with my pc before I get back to the grind and need something working smoothly.

I am not sure what i am looking for yet. I am still tinkering, and thus my motivation for trying 10.04alpha. I wasn't expecting something amazing, just tinkering.

All my ubuntu machines are still running 8.04 LTS. I'm only allowed to upgrade from LTS to LTS per the guy who signs my checks.
