Any one made a Entertainment PC ?

What I mean is make a decent pc for your Entertainment room , basically pumping your Video/Sound to your Tv/Hifi and have the ability to play cd/vcd/dvd/divx/etc movies and also games.
I'm gonna customize an old desktop case and paint it black to match the usual entertainment equipment look.
Also trying to figure out not to have a big ass monitor sitting next to the case(slaps head remembering it's gonna be hookedup to the TV

) as well so maybe thinking of getting a small lcd instead and a micro kboard/mouse setup.
Any one have any thoughts on this or has done something similar at all ?

I use a PC for DVD, MP3, and other video playback in my home theater room. It's in a black slim desktop case, about the size of most home theater components, but deep like a PC.

Not as streamlined as I would like (it's just a PC basically), but the picture on it is superior to set top DVD players that I've seen.

I'm in the middle of considering building a new unit in a compact case, with TiVo-like abilities, DVD playback, games, MP3, etc...

Shopping around for a good chasis now.
