It's only within the last few years, that I realized how important Lindsey Buckingham was to the sound of the band. Just enjoyed the music for the last 3 decades without giving it much thought.

He and Fleetwood himself are key.

I forget the name of the lead, but she is good eye candy for an older woman plus she doesn't sing so bad. Time for some Silver Springs now.

edit - Nicks, yea thats her name.

I think you mean Stevie Nicks.

I liked them when Peter Green was fronting for them on Lead Guitar. They were a hit long before Buckingham and Nicks joined them. Two of my favorites by them were Pre Nicks and Buckingham. "Oh Well" and "Black Magic Women"

Can't say I liked everything they ever did, but they are pretty good. The Rumours album sold bazillions of copies when it first came out.

LOL Cocaine Queen. She sure has the Nostrils for it. If you were really to listen to her voice you would see that she has literally no vocal range at all and in fact usually is flat. Of course the songs are written for her style so it's not so annoying.

The Bob Welch fronted Fleetwood Mac was awesome too. Like the previous incarnation of Fleetwood Mac they weren't as Pop orientated as he Buckingham/Nicks fronted FM were.

Christie McVie with her Keyboard and vocals was a key part of the band. She retired to her Castle in England a few years ago and vowed to not return to the group so FM will never be the same :(

They were phenomenal as a blues band with Peter Green. Everybody knows "Black Magic Woman" by Santana, but they should hear the original.

They were still pretty good with the next guy (Bob Welch?). I love Hypnotized.

They then became pretty good MOR hit makers with Lindsay and Stevie. Rumours is an easy favorite, but I love parts of Tusk and Tango in the Night. Big Love with Lindsay solo on guitar on the last live album was fantastic.

The lines before it really set it up well.

"Can't help it about the shape I'm in,
I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin.
But, ..."

I've liked Fleetwood Mac over the years but they have never been one of my favorite bands. In fact, I don't think I have ever owned one of their albums, but I have liked their music, saw them in concert a couple of times.
