any one know anything about irc?

why does every server I connect to demand something called identd? I've been banned they all say.. clueless any one know irc?

Are you behind a router/NAT or software firewall?

If you are, open port 113.

Open up port 113 if you're behind a cable/dsl router and/or set yourself DMZ.

Make sure your ident server is enabled in mirc or whatever IRC client you're using..dig around in preferences/options.
