any one know any thing about winnt boot.ini????, winnt boot loader

an in deapth run down of how it works, and how to get it to boot from a raid 0 array (mirroring), and if you have 2 drives in raid 0, could you pull them off of the raid, and run from one or the other??

the ms knowledge base, was tried already, i found a vague document, that kindof helped, but was not detailed enough, if any one can tell me how to boot an nt/novell workstation without being on the home network, or some way to access an an ntfs partition from 98, id appreciate it

These folks (SysInternals) have a lot of different utilities that should help. There is freeware that will let you have read only access to an NTFS partition from DOS, and commercial ware that will let you have read and write access from either DOS or Win98. They even have a utility that let's you access NTFS partitions from another machine via the serial port!

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Jim

Oops. Forgot to mention that JSI, Inc. has all sorts of info about accessing farkled RAID setups / broken mirrors / drives with messed up boot files.
