Any one here have Direcway?

Any one have the service? After 3 yrs of waiting for broadband in my area I give up! I just spent the cash on the setup and I will get it installed next week. Anyone have it and what are your experiences?

My in-laws have it. And i will In a month or so (moving to an area that does not have broadband).

it is ok. Every now and then it craps out on them for an hour or so. Not to mention the speed is WAY lower then cable.

I'm 90% sure this is the internet service that my girlfriend has at her father's house (where she is staying while he is away in Afganistan). To be nice, I will just say that it is not very good, especially with how much you have to pay for it. Huge latency, stops working all the time, knocks her offline, packet loss to where we don't recieve messages on AIM etc... I would stick with dial up myself, especially with the huge equipment cost and isn't it like $70 a month?

cost is $59 a month I paid the $600 upfront so im not under any contract. I have the money to spare so its not the question. I will keep my dial-up I use now for those "cloud cover moments" but it has be be better than dial-up it takes me hrs to download a few meg file (only 26.4 dialup here in the woods of Mississippi) I have Directv as well (just left Dish network)

Yeah I hope it goes really well for you, I don't mean to be negative, but the service would be unusable for me. Maybe there are other factors that are causing her to have bad service, and I wish none of them on you!!
