Any One have a Via C3 laptop? I want to buy an ultralight laptop. Don't need much power It only has to be a dumb terminal to a mainframe connected through WiFi. 1 Ghz is more than enough. Don't need CD rom, or anything else. Running linux. Basically the lightest laptop possible that can run Linux. I found some laptops that fit the bill perfectly, but they are only sold in germany. The iBuddy is the closest thing I've found in America. Via's website has a bunch that fit the bill but, like I said before..... germany only. Ugh

Lightest
Long Battery life
USB 1 or 2 don't matter but 2 preffered

Don't need
CDROM
DVD
Graphics
CPU Power
 
sure they do (it turned into the TR series and gained a DVD/CDRW) but since you were asking about the C3 I thought you wanted cheap
