I ordered mine a few weeks ago but wont get it till Dec 5th or so. 3 feet and 3000 peices of lego fun. I'm sure it will take at least a few months to put together, hell it might take that long to sort through all the peices.. ;)

I just got done last night with my Blockade runner. I have no idea where I will put these things as they are a little to big to hang from the ceiling in my Star Wars room along with my other SW lego collection. And they don't fit the wifes idea of decor so the family room is out of the question.

They are for sale at Lego.com for $259. Get your now before they're all gone. :)

That's the death star. Star destroyer is the big wedge shapped ship.

It might have been a chunck of change but it's a hobby of mine and if I didn't have one I would of been disapointed later so I made the call. I also got a bonus from work. ;)

I've not seen one. Then again, I'm not in the toy stores too often anymore ;)

As far as the original question, no, I've not ordered the Star Destroyer. As much as I'd like to, it's just too much money to spend on Legos.

Not yet, I have to decide whether or not I want the Lego Star Destroyer or a digicam for xmas.

It's a tough choice. :)

So how big would the Death Star model be in relation to the 3 ft Star Destroyer. Something like 9 feet in diameter? :D

If it were to scale? Much much bigger.

A Super Star Destroyer, like the Executor, is supposed to be 11 times bigger than an Imperial Star Destroyer and as you can see here the Executor is pretty small relative to the Death Star.

Get them both, you have been good right? ;)

I haven't told the wife yet that I ordered it. :) I have hinted though that I want it. No big deal it's just that I bought me a new Demon carb for my Jeep that cost me $300.

Be sure to come back and post pics when it arrives... I am sure tons of people on here would be interested...

I would love to get one of those, but it's just too expensive for me...

God, the Super Star Destroyer was crazy. I mean it didn't do sh*t in the movie, but if you read about its specs; that thing is nuts

Wow, and I thought that the Lego castle that I built when I was a kid was big. This thing is awesome!

The Lego Statue Of Liberty is cool, too! I wonder how many packs of green bricks it would take to build one of your own? :)

about 70 assuming you could use every piece from each pack without any waste.

regardless it's going to be a lot cheaper to just buy the thing, besides you can't buy the right color green to build something like that. you wouldn't want a dark green statue of liberty would you :p

I have no idea where it will go either. Probably in the garage. :) I was thinking about a new video card but since mine runs just about any game fine I decided to get this. I've spent more money on stupider things before so why not this.

I don't have to many habits except SW legos and cars so I had to do it. I would imagine that someday they will be on Ebay for alot more. I have seen people buy the Millenium falcon on Ebay for more then $270 and that thing is no where near the size of this. I think they stopped making them though, but still.......

I ordered one, but I had to cancel when my lego Yoda found out. :( Let's just say he wasn't too happy about it. When he mentioned something about putting the force where the sun doesn't shine, I knew I was in for something bad!

I have an uncle that works at their plant. For my 12th birthday he sent me 4 huge bricks of legos. I mean HUGE! 4' x 4' x 4' each. Each was a different color. It had to be a bazillion legos. Me and my brother built a big desk and chair among other things.

I think I still have them in the attic. I will have to look.
