Swiftech is coming out with a new block to replace the storm (now discontinued).

They've also issued a challenge for the CES release of their new block.

Anyone can bring any waterblock which they think is the best and we will hook it up to the same water-loop (same configuration). We will then take the temperatures of the challenger.

The person that can beat the new Swiftech Block, or should I say ?If by some miracle somebody beats the Swiftech Block? they will take home a new Swiftech P180 Quiet Power. http://swiftech.com/products/Qpower-P180.asp

Why not?!?!?

These are best case scenarios, from their own charts, on their own web sites, blah, blah, blah...

Are you suggesting one, or the other, is lying?!?!? :D

I guess, more or less, not necessarily lying, but the accuracy between testbeds is never the same. I'm nearly sure that the new block will beat the crap out of an apogee and swiftech is discontinuing the storm in favor of a new block on the 15 of this month. Maybe they are going to bring back the 6002 design.

You might want to check the batteries in your sarcasm detector.

oh well, i guess i should have noticed, but i was half awake, lol

I want to see, the apogee, the dtec-fusion, the storm rev2, a LR g5, an mp-05 sp, and swiftech's new blocks all compared on the same test bed

i would hope the LR G5 or even G7(not yet released) would win

I dont know if Dtek's Fuzion will beat it either because in order to see the true potental of G4 / G5 / Fuzion / mp-05 your going to need more head pressure then what 1 655 pump can dish out. And the test will only have 1 655 pump.

but as the guy above me states, i wanna see all those blocks on the same bed competing on single pump and dual pump layouts .

EDIT: Sorry sounded like I owned a G5... ROFLROFL... i wish i had a G5, and for anyone reading who doesnt know what a G5 is, its a Super Upgraded Storm on a pure Silver Block.

Theres a review on it at XS. Its on the forums. It pwns the apogee like what most people guessed. But im currious to find out how the Apogee GT does. Yes thats the name of swiftech's new block.
