the downloads i do are itunes store, and alltunes (the russian itunes copy).. though it takes up bandwidth, atleast it has a semblance of legality... f connecting to 200 peer computers on a torrent...

Since when? There's plenty of HTTP and FTP sources, as far as I'm aware.

well, directly from their site there isn't, unless i completely missed it. this was about a month or 2 ago.

i just went to the site and it allows you to directly download it from there. i swear it wasn't like that when i did it previously though. i clicked the "get open office" button and it took me to a page to download the torrent for it. i looked for a direct download and didn't see one.
