Any of you people like "Limp Bizkit"?

Personally I'm not a huge fan of them. They're a certain sect of music, and, to be honest, there's a certain mood for it. The only real song of theirs that I liked pretty constantly was Break Stuff. It's just one of those songs (and they're one of those bands) that you listen to while you're in traffic every day and you just want to scream. :)

Anyway. I "got the opportunity" to get their new album a few weeks before it's released, and it's actually pretty good. A lot "harder" (per se) than the last one, but I like it. Just curious as to what everyone else thinks of them (and who's waiting for their new album, and who doesn't give a shit :))

NO!!! Limp Bizkit is.. Limp.. Weak.. Pathetic...

They have no good lyrics.
He can't sing.
They have no guitar solos.
They have no good riffs.
They're not heavy.

Need I go on? :)

Edit: Break Stuff is one of their best songs? Oh my god.. I think you just dissed them. :p

On the whole they aren't my favorite, or even anywhere close to it, although I will listen to some of it now and then. I've found the recent song "rollin'" to be acceptable =)

Fred Durst is nothing more than a whiny white boy in a red hat. Wes actually has some talent, and he's hella cool :) Personally, I think that Wes needs to kick Fred's sniveling little ass.

They did a damn good job on the Mission Impossible theme song. I bought their album and like a few of their albums. I agree with you, konichiwa -- it's great for a pissed off traffic day. :)

I wouldn't disgrace my cd player with one of thier cd's, and I sure as hell wouldn't waste 5 or 6 megs of my harddrive for one of thier mp3's.

Well there's definately a variation on opinions, huh? :) What a weird album name for this one that I got, though...Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdog Flavored Water. Strange. :Q

Ohhhhhhhhh. THERE IS PAIN AND ANNOYANCE.

Before i start, i would like to point out a couple things. .[*]Fred Durst is a sellout bitch. Don't believe me? Can you say FRED DURST DICKIES? Famestruck, it seems.[*] In "3 Dollar Bill Y'all" they never called out that they were "Limp BIZKIT!" during their songs. Now it is a daily matter. See above.
[*]Wes is a dickhead in real life :)

Now on to the main event. [*]Wes is cool as hell in his persona, and I'm sure many of the other stars you know and love are complete assholes outside of their dayjob.
[*]The original Limp Bizkit is freaking awesome. Tracks like "Stuck" and "Counterfeit" are awesome tracks. "Everything" is one of my favorite songs STILL, even though it weighs in at almost 16 minutes. "3 Dollar Bill Y'all" was a great CD, from their hit "Faith" to finish.
[*]"Significant Other" got more TRL than i had preferred, but it quickly grew on me. Although many other artists have been tossed by the wayside from former love when they became TRL, (Read: Eminem) Limp kept on comin. Tracks like "Rearranged" showed their ability to go slower, and songs such as "Break Stuff" and "Nookie" show their plain out bash side. Not to mention, my next point --
[*]Many songs came from soundtracks to bolster their name during the Significant Ohter period. "Crushed" from the End Of Days soundtrack and "Mission Impossible Theme" from MI2 were awesome songs that in some cases (crushed) got very little radio play, and were quite overlooked. They are some of the best songs Limp offers.
[*]And now, with an assault of "Rollin," an instant love, and "My Generation," an aquired liking, the seem to be keeping up their standards.

Oh, come on Seph. Just sum it up for us. We know you're still all hyped up about the Debates, but those dots just confuse us. ;)

403forbidden- Forget the solo stuff, it's played? What do you mean? You mean overplayed? My ass. I would kill to hear a song with a solo in it like ANY one of Metallica's solos on a normal rock radio station. You don't hear it. It doesen't seem possible.

Nobody can solo like Kirk Hammett. All the 80s hair bands solos' i've heard all pale in compairison. There are some good Ozzy solos. Some good GnR solos, but they still don't have the energy and intensity.

I would like to see a band come out with a song that has the same structure as Metallica's songs, let alone the riffs, lyrics, singing, and solos! Come on man, go download Ride the Lightning, or Damage, INC, or Master of Puppets, and tell me that their solo's aren't simply awesome. Of course, if you're not into that kind of music, you probably won't like it much. But still. Do it..

Limp Biscuity music is a super lame fad genre of music that will die along with the likes of N*Sync and everything else that's so popular right now.

You know what... some of the actual music isn't that bad. What is bad is Fred Durst. He stinks as a vocalist and he is so damn pompous it's not even funny. I think that's why a lot of people hate the band.

If you want hard music, look elsewhere. Slipknot was already mentioned...how about some Staind, Tool, APC, SOAD, or Deftones?? now there's some real music :p
if you want something insanely hard, get "Get This" by Slipknot. :p :D

Kami- I have the same problem with all those bands you just mentioned as I do with Bizkit, although, I admit, some of them aren't as bad. See my first post. :p

Ok, I'm going to get "Get this". I want to hear this "insanely hard" sh!t. :p

If you want something insanely hard, get Damage, INC. by Metallica.

You have GOT to be joking ... This isn't hard, It's garbage. I weep at the thought that some people think this is hard.. and good. :p

I hope you at least got Damage, INC. I was willing to listen to your song. :p
