Any of you lappy owners use a carbus adapter for firewire or USB 2.0?

I'm wondering which would be the better investment, a firewire or USB 2.0 cardbus card. Basically all I plan on running off it is a burner. I'm totally new to the lappy scene so any comments/advice you can give me will be much appreciated. Thanks,

Most if not all Cardbus cards will not supply power to a non-powered Firewire device. Burner should be powered though.

If you do any type of DV stuff, definitely get a firewire card.

Otherwise, USB 2.0 is probably the better option in terms of less expensive peripherals.
