A buddy from my childhood sent me this news and is probably still doing back flips he's so excited. Poor guy's been dealing with some embarrassment in this area since he was about 12 or 13. One of my very first childhood altercations started with a certain asshole trying to hold my friend down and turn a bald spot into a smile face with a permanent marker. Ahh, those were the days...

Anyway

Awesome news for those with alopecia, and doesn't this really mean we're so much closer to a pill for male pattern baldness? My mother in law has it and my wife often laments her worry she's in the for the same. I'm definitely going grey over here, but thankfully baldness doesn't run in the males of my family. I confess I have more sympathy for women in this too, they're under far more stringent expectations of beauty and long luxurious hair is decidedly feminine.

This is purely treating auto-immune conditions like alopecia areata. It has nothing to do with alopecia androgenetica, ie male pattern or (less commonly) female pattern baldness, which is due to the interaction of androgens (hormone byproducts) with follicles. It's good news for your friend but isn't going to change anything for your wife.

Actually I have hair spots, a closely related but altogether different issue than bald spots.

So no possibility of correlating success because one is a basically a disease and one is a reaction common to everyone, just at varying degrees? Well crap.

Still, nice to see pill produced hair growth like that in a 5 month time I guess.

I think my wife's hair still has quite awhile until she looks like her mom, thankfully. Still time to crank out that other pill guys! Keep working at it!
