I have an iPhone, which is pretty similiar. Initially I didn't like the concept of CoverFlow and I didn't think that scrolling through a list of music with your finger rather than a scrollwheel would be better. Boy was I wrong. The iPod in the iPhone is definitely the best ever made. It's very fast to find music and very easy to manipulate. If you don't need to store a ton of songs, then get an iTouch. Otherwise stick with the Classic, which has a much larger hard drive.

That's what I recommend to all my friends. My 1st gen iPhone fulfills my needs, but for most of my nerdy friends I recommend waiting until Gen 2 - more memory, 3G probably, and 3rd-party apps coming in February.

I considered one, but I dont like the fact that they only go to 16GB for the price. I have more mp3s than that. Also, in actuallity I probably would not use the other features all that much.

Still a cool little gadget if you have the money though, I like the phone.

I wonder if Costco will sell those. I upgraded my old 2gb nano to the new 8gb 3rd gen nano and it isn't too bad but I wouldn't mind trying that out. the price for the 16gb would be the same as the 8gb nano...

The great thing about Costco is that they gave me $149 in-store credit for the return of the old nano, which isn't worth close to that much anymore. Their return policy is great! I just keep upgrading forever...

And also not available today. And yesterday it was $85. Who rounds down when talking about cost? Not me...

It was $80 + shipping. Did anyone put shipping/tax when they were talking about the iTouch price? I don't think so.

got my 8gb iphone for $290, and I'm loving every minute using it. I have 3rd party apps on my iphone, not sure what the other poster was referring to.
