before i start... this is not a sales pitch or anything... i seriously need input from people who are involved with this product because i need 2nd, 3rd, opinions etc... this is all i am asking for...

I hate MLM's.... Many people/friends I knew were involved in MLM's (Mary Kay, Amway, Avon, Market America, etc)... I really really hate the concept and I hate talking to people who try to make sales... I feel sorry for them etc... here is the deal tho...

My GF (beautician), recently decided to purchase and become an Arbonne International rep (i am already sounding like an MLM sob story zzzz). I am trying to research online and looking out for her... I told her to avoid friends and families because this could easily alienate her from them lolz... the thing is...

I personally like some of their (arbonne) products. I think they smell/work well and deliver. The products are a bit pricey but after the rep discount they aren't that expensive compared to branded stuff... I like the way the products are presented and packaged... its not bad... I JUST HATE THE WAY ITS BEING SOLD THRU AN MLM SYSTEM

i told my gf to avoid direct sales... if some1 ask oh why is ur skin so nice, hair so beautiful, etc (she gets that a lot) then tell her about the product. aside from that dont try to make a sales pitch because she would easily kill her rep.

Anway... any of you guys have experience with Arbonne Products? Successful as reps? What other MLM's do you do that you feel success at?

Thats all... thanks for listening. I hope this could help out the GF and me (in the event that she does want to start advertising the stuff)....

Andy Willoughby says I can start a financial empire by selling overpriced fruit drinks from the comfort of my own studio apartment!

Never heard of Arbonne, and I try and avoid my friends that do the MLM pitch. Had some stranger try it on me at Ikea a few weeks ago as well. That's all I can add to this thread.

yeah... i really hate mlm people... now i'm gonna be living w/ one... its like a sick disease cause u wanna make sales pitches to everyone and think the product ur selling is the best... zzz

i did some research....

Arbonne International is not registered or ever was registered in Switzerland. It's base out of Irvine Cali (isn't Irvine a huge industrial park now???)

Their products cannot be 100% all natural because it would be impossible to have a long shelf life

On the plus side, sorta, they were bought out by Harvest Partners (they have large investments in Evenflo and Whole Foods to name a few...)

either way... that doesn't tell me if Arbonne would be a good idea for her tho... cause I still see hellla people drive around with white mercedez w/ arbonne logos...

i seriously hate the business structure... its the gf... so far i have indirectly told her it won't work...

I search ebay and find their products at 50% or more off... yet legitimate reps can only get them at most 35% off or 50% during sign-in... then i read that many ebay sellers dilute the product with other unk sh1t....

Well, a friend of mine once suckered me into joining Excel Communications. I even got my family to sign up for their long distance plan. Needless to say it was tough just to break even. Their kit in itself cost around $300. All of us since abandoned Excel. Considered lesson learned.

My roommate was selling Cutco knives awhile back, through Vector Marketing. He had to buy his own set and some of these sets cost over a thousand. Needless to say he barely broke even through the whole ordeal.

Given a choice of minimum wage work and MLM, you're a lot better off with the former.

I am not personally, but i LOVE Arbonne products. They are very good quality and have a wide range of things from vitamins to face creams.

the thing is... initially my gf wanted to just purchase the product... she was about to blow $300 when the rep told her u might as well be a rep to save $$... so she did... the product line is not too bad... i just thing its mildly overpriced...

I know people that does MLM and they were promised they'll make like 100k in 3 month, etc.. everyone bought vitamins, stuff that you can tell if it works or not... its fricken expensive and the half the stuff looks crappie..

i mean if your MLM sells candy.. i prob would buy it.. you're exactly right, people start running away from you.. friends and family cuz every question becomes, hey u wanna buy some more ? and the answer is hell no

market america is the one everyone had here they were selling this isotonix opc-3 .. i mean what the hell is this crap,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220073843049
and I like how every bottle has says "The Food and Drug Administration has not evaluated these statements"

best part was this whole mlm happened in my area 2-3 years ago.. i went by my friends place the other day.. they had cases of these things that no one wants, they were giving it away for free.. probably all expired and stuff.

see i was approached last year by my insurance sales guy about market america... since i was selling hosting and doing pages, the guy told me market america does too its much cheaper etc and its like managed free... when i spoke with the rep that if i had a customer call in 3am pissed that their site is down, what can they do for me... there was no answer... plus the generic pages etc etc...

the packaging of their other products were hilarious and i felt better off purchasing store branded alternatives than what they were selling...

anyway the thing with Arbonne thats been difficult to convince my gf and even myself is that they appear to have a pretty good product... just the way they have to market it is such a shame...
