I'm basically just trying to identify certain sections within a resume template. If I knew the technical name of the spaces I need to edit I can figure out the rest.

Here's a example of what I'm trying to do. In this first one I want to delete or move the section with the double line. Trying to highlight that section and pressing delete only removes the text and not the lines itself. Like I mentioned before if I knew the technical name of that section, I can figure out the rest.

On this screenshot I'm trying to copy the highlighted section and paste it again so that I can add more work experience. For some reason pasting the section into the document never comes out right. The pasted section alignment is always off for some reason and again I don't know the technical description for that kind of text formatting.

Can a Word expert please help me?

Make sure the line formatting's the same when you paste it in. That looks center justified? Maybe it's left justified or something when you hit paste.

This is why I hate word templates. They work great until you need to expand them

So it's not just me, I've been trying to figure out how to edit this thing for about an hour and a half.

Ah well, hopefully that alignment suggestion will get me going

Finally figured it out, to delete the double lines it actually has to be deleted as a row (under the page layout section).

To copy the section, it has to be pasted as a nested table.

Glad I finally got this figured, now I can finally finish off my resume.

lol I thought you had my resume when i first entered the thread.. same template.

You could also highlight and right click and the delete row option is on there.

Looks like the template was set up in table format. You should be able to just highlight the row, right click and delete.
