Any of you guys don't drink, gamble, or smoke?

For some reason I keep being criticized from my roommate and my peers. I'm Asian and 21 years old. I've had a couple of sips here and there but I don't drink period. I just think alcohol is nasty in general. I hate gambling and I've never smoked in my life. They say I'm "weird".

Is it so wrong to have a clean liver and a set of clear lungs!?
 
My roommate tells me to drink in moderation but I just hate the taste. I also know hangovers and I really don't see the "fun" in having one. Don't get me started on barfing either.
 
Ummm. . . nothing wrong with it.

But I gotta tell you, drinking's fun, gambling's fun. Would you think there's something wrong with someone who had never ridden a roller coaster, or a bicycle? No, or at least I'd hope not. But you'd sure think they were missing out on something good, wouldn't you. Just like driving a car really fast, you've gotta be careful, and you shouldn't do it too often. There are risks involved, the most dangerous being addiction, so common sense is needed.

Smoking ain't worth it, and I'm a smoker telling you this. The first few taste like crap, and you can get addicted so easliy it's not worth aquiring a taste for it. Sure, the pleasure is unique, but the consequences are not worth it.
 
well... i frequently (like weekly) drink half a glass of wine or a beer at a time but that doesn't really count as drinking right? cuz i don't get drunk.

definitely no gambling and smoking.
 
i don't do any of those now - 31
(i don't regard a weekend trip to the local casino with the family once or twice a year as 'gambling')
 
mid way through my third glass of red now in fact 😀

I dont have the cash to gamble, and i'm not stupid enuff to smoke...
 
I drink socially (never to excess anymore), I play poker, and I visit the casinos on an ocassional basis.
 
I drink and gamble, but I don't smoke. The gambling is only rarely when I play poker with friends, and the one time I went to Vegas.

I used to drink a lot when I was in college and I used to gamble when I was waiting tables (after work we would go to someone's place and play some poker). I haven't gambled in years (not that I think there is anything wrong with it) and I don't drink much anymore. I have never smoked.


Hmm...thinking about gambling. My dad taught me how to play poker and blackjack when I was in kindergarten and I was in Junior High I made my lunch money by gambling. We played poker in the back of the chorus room during class.
 
I hardly drink, and when I do, it's just one or two socially. I also really dislike beer. I like wine (especially port), and stuff with Bailey's or Kaluha. Not a big fan of vodka though.

Don't smoke, don't gamble.

there's nothing wrong with social drinking, most ppl do it and altho that in itself is no reason to indulge, it isn't that bad for you and is fun! 😀
smoking is bad but tons of ppl do it anyway and its not that bad to do socially (ie when you drink) as long as you quit at some point...
gambling is just as addictive if not more than the above but is fun and is a good way to make money if you're smart/lucky...
