There was a thread about this some two or three weeks ago. Anyway, it didn't hurt me much at all. I had mine taken out two at a time. The first time, I went back to work afterwards and just mumbled through the rest of the day. The second time, I went home and drywalled my basement. I guess the pain can vary depending on how hard they are to get out, but mine weren't easy; the dentist was pulling so hard the assistant had to hold my head, and one finally cracked from the pliers and came out in pieces. My jaw was a little sore, but no worse than, say, having a headache. Make sure you follow the instructions for after the procedure to avoid the dreaded "dry socket". I understand that can really hurt. One of the machinists in my shop got dry socket, and said it hurt like a &*^$%, and he's not the complaining kind. He never missed any work over it though.
Good luck, and don't be a sissy. We've got enough sissies these days.
