any of you familiar with various mp3 players?

i'm in the market for an mp3 player that is HD based, has good recording functions and FM radio, the latter being the least important. (oh and i want good battery life, 5-8+ hours)

since the first two are required, it rules out the ipod and the zen.

it leaves me with the nomad jukebox 3, the archos recorder and whatever else i don't know about. I've been doing research on these items but the reviews out there are sooo polarized i don't know who or what to believe. The reviews do seem to indicate, that the nomad jukebox 3 is probably the best mp3 player/recorder on the market but there are still lots of problems with it, size being one.

so:

1) do any of you have experience with the jukebox3 or archos (or other)?
2) does anyone know if/when the jukebox 4 is coming out (couldn't find this in any press releases on creative's site

The Zen has a wired LCD remote accessory that has an FM tuner and mic built in.

However, it is backordered everywhere, and goes for $80-100 on eBay 🙁
