I took the Foreign Service exam, does that count?

What does that department do? Is that the people that staff our embassies abroad and whatnot? That sounds interesting.

Took the exam, and is going for the oral interviews soon, so I was hoping for some first hand experience. Guess no ATer's work there?

They are the people that staff embassies and such......

If you want a near-all-expenses-paid chance to live in another country for a couple of years, it cannot be beat. My sister has lived in Bolivia, Columbia, and Italy so far. LOTS of perks, if you're the right kind of person for it.
