Any Oasis fans?

Any Oasis fans in the house?

I've been mad for it since the beginning. I know they're a bit past it these days, but I suppose it's the natural progression of the band as they mature and a few wrong producers along the way haven't helped.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to their next album, and in the meantime I suggest picking up the 10th Anniversary DVD of "Definitely Maybe."

The documentary on the making of the album is pure class. Highly recommended.

Why does this amuse you? Oasis are the single most important British rock band in the last decade or two. It's a real shame they didn't fit in with American tastes at the time of their peak - you guys were busy with complete shite.

American radio mainly played Oasis' ballads and ignored their better tunes.

I get it! I saw your sig so I know you like SNL and Will Farrell was in that exact skit. He was also in a skit in which he was a member of the British Parliament in which he loved Oasis. Therefore you are trying to be funny by pretending to be like Will Farrell from SNL and in real life don't actually like Oasis because they truly suck balls!

Phew that was close...

They are legends in their own mind and nancyboys who keep getting their asses kicked when they can't handle their liguor.

BTW, look at any respectible "Top 100 Songs Of All Time" lists and Oasis are always there, usually in the top ten.

Americans have notoriously dreadful taste in music, and just about everything else, for that matter.

Tell that to the Beatles and most other English bands who got their start playing songs written by American Blues Artists.

Have you seen the state of the American top forty lately?

Who listens to Top 40?

I've always enjoyed Oasis. The Hindu Times is the newest of their stuff that I've heard though. I really enjoyed Be Here Now.

Enough people to make the songs the forty most popular? Going on a limb there...
