I post a lot about my recent endeavor into film production but never invited you guys to join in the fun... Here's an ad I posted - apply if you'd like to join - NO ONE gets turned down (unless you're an ass, of course)...
I'm looking for people, hopefully fellow students, who are really looking to get their hands dirty. The plan is to dig out all of the trees in Central Park and then replace them with upside down crosses? OK, what I really plan on doing is filming a series of short films ? all from different genres and all with budgets that are embarrassingly low. The point of these shorts is to help me and everyone involved with them learn the ins and outs of film production. I expect the first few to look terrible but I?m hoping that the quality will increase over time ? my plan is to make shorts worthy of film festivals after a few months (and I hope to make a feature film after that as well). So, the point of my spiel is that I?m looking for anyone: kids looking to learn/practice shooting with a camera, people wanting to learn how to set up a light rig, sound guys/gals who need to experiment with a mixer, actors who know that practice makes perfect, an ambitious talking dog who?d like to be an Avid editor?. Well, if you?re interested in really learning and practicing please email me? As far as my background goes, I?m a student writer and film student who has worked on a few 16mm shorts and has a lot of experience with miniDV? I?m pretty mediocre at being a director but that?s the point ? I strive to be better and if you?re like me then please don?t ignore this?
