Any non-smartphones for AT&T with powerful calendars?

We're on AT&T. My wife has a Blackberry only because she uses the calendar extensively. She makes voice calls and sends texts only. We can't replace the old one without being forced into a data plan (+$30 a month!)which we won't use.

Any suggestions for a phone with a full-featured calendar that won't be considered a smartphone by AT&T? I'd rather not have to buy an unlocked Blackberry if I don't have to, and I will not pay for a data plan.

not sure about the at&t phones, but you could buy a new unlocked bberry and consider a switch to a no-contract t-mobile plan. a bit of hassle but will work out the same or cheaper in the long run...

If you buy your own unlocked phone, AT&T cant tell that its a smartphone (unless it was previously sold by AT&T). May want to look at something from Nokia running Symbian, like the E61, E71. Nokia's PC Suite syncs with outlook quite well.

I've got a Nokia e71x for AT&T if you're interested. I bought it for my friend, but she didn't like it. It's a factory refurb from AT&T that I've never used; still has the protective plastic on it. I don't think it's anywhere near as nice as the newer blackberrys, but a lot of people seem to like it.
