Any NF3/NF4 motherboards that support AMD64x2 AND AGP?

I know it's silly, but my friend is looking to upgrade to an AMD64x2 and is not ready to replace his 6800GT that he paid $350 for!

Please post a link to a retail website if you find anything. Thanks! 🙂

That's not silly at all...I was in exactly the same situation. 😉

Nforce4 is PCI-Express only, so that's out...NF3 is the Nvidia chipset for Socket 939 that has AGP. I'm not really familiar with NF3 boards since I've never had one, but I seem to remember reading about a few that got BIOS updates to support dual-core CPU's. If this friend doesn't have his heart set on an Nvidia chipset, he could buy what I'm running...which is this. Full speed AGP and PCI-E on the same board. I love mine, it's running a (dual-core) Opteron 170 and an AGP 6800GT (which I also paid $350 for😉)...you can even overclock fairly well on it (better if you do a simple voltmod).

The X2's should work on any socket 939 board with the Nforce3 chipset. I had a Gigabyte K8NS-939 Ultra with my X2 3800+ before I upgraded to PCI Express. The Asrock board also works, and It has a pci-e and agp slots, so when the time comes for a new video card, he dosent have to upgrade the board too.

I ran an X2 on an MSI K8N Neo2 Plat, worked great. Check the FS/FT forum, I see them in there all the time for 60-80 bucks.
