It's the one show I watch or tape every day. It maybe the only upside to being unemployed. ;)

Today was one of the best episodes, "Super Karate Monkey Death Car." With one of my favorite quotes from any sitcom.

Mr. James: The original title of this book was 'Jimmy James, Capitalist Lion Tamer' but I see now that it's... 'Jimmy James, Macho Business Donkey Wrestler'... you know what it is... I had the book translated in to Japanese then back in again into English. Macho Business Donkey Wrestler... well there you go... it's got kind of a ring to it don't it? Anyway, I wanted to read from chapter three... which is the story of my first rise to financial prominence... I had a small house of brokerage on Wall Street... many days no business come to my hut... my hut... but Jimmy has fear? A thousand times no. I never doubted myself for a minute for I knew that my monkey strong bowels were girded with strength like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo... dung. ...Glorious sunset of my heart was fading. Soon the super karate monkey death car would park in my space. But Jimmy has fancy plans... and pants to match. The monkey clown horrible karate round and yummy like cute small baby chick would beat the donkey.

He wrote a book which did poorly in the US. Translated into Japanese, it did very well, so he translated it back into english and re-released it in the US. :D

'the real deal....with bill mcneill'

one of my most memorable was when bill kept on making those comments on the air, and the people on the streets were acting on them. it went something like, "we should drag joe vigilante out of his car and beat him to within an inch of his life'...and then a few hours later, a report came in that a joe vigilante was dragged out of his car and was beaten and was now at the hospital, news radio was a great show. r.i.p. phil hartman (bill mcneill)

He really didn't leave... He was killed by his psycho wife.

News Radio is great!

After old whats-his-name Max joined, it started to suck. Bill made the show.

I thought you meant real News Radio though. That's what I do for a living :)

I think NewsRadio was one of the best shows ever. I wish they played it more though. The only time it's on here is when A&E replays it which I pretty much never get to see.

I love that show. Phil was great. It is hard to see Mr. James without thinking of Milton.

Were Phil Hartman not murdered, the show would have lasted a lot longer, IMO. It was a great cast.

Damn I never knew Phil Hartman was MURDERED?!?

I knew he left NewsRadio without much notice, and how they integrated that Max character to replace him was quite lame... but I never knew Phil Hartman actually died... :(

RIP Phil Hartman...

dude I love that show, its extremely witty down to the simplest detail, and not as "complex" as Frasier which I never understood. As a foreigner, News Radio was easy to understand and laugh.

and that girl IS HOT!!!! (no, not the secretary)
