Any news on when JEDEC-approved PC3200 memory sticks will start hitting the street?

Since memory prices are plunging I'm thinking of picking up another stick PC3200 RAM but I'm thinking I would be better off waiting for JEDEC approved sticks if they should be out shortly. Anyone know what the ETA is on these?

I'm not sure if JEDEC approved will be a good thing or a bad thing. Its gonna mean some relaxed timings based on JEDEC spec and basically cost us more for companies like Corsair to OC our RAM. :(

jaegger66Hmmm... the PC3200 standard isn't finalzed yet? I thought they had alreasy started to validate memory modules... guess not...

chizow:confused: I don't understand why it would cost us more for Corsair and others to sell OC'd RAM.

My Corsair XMS PC3200C2 works very nicely as it is... I'm thinking it may like to have a brother though ;) The reason I was curious is just because once the standard is out, you can be sure that Corsair and others will comply to it. Technically if you buy PC3200 right now it's "we tested the RAM here at this speed and hope your motherboard plays nice". I'd rather have something based on a solid standard if at all possible :)
