Any news on if the Logitech MX1000 Laser mouse will ever be bundled with a wireless keyboard?

I'm really liking the looks of the MX1000 right now, but the only thing holding me back is the lack of any wireless keyboard bundle. Does anyone know if Logitech has any plans to release such a bundle in the near future?

Thanks.

I'd avoid the MX1000 like the plague. Too many of them have problems with lag when they are lifted up and set back down.

I have the MX1000 and love it. Haven't noticed a lag at all. Anyway, I am interested in the getting a wireless keyboard to go with it.

I'm hoping Logitech will have this fixed fairly soon, if they haven't already. I am well aware of the "lag" problem, and I'm a gamer who frequently lifts his mouse from the pad. I'm sure Logitech is aware of this also, and I would hope they will have it fixed soon.

From THG

"Some of our gamer readers had pointed out that the mouse had a latency time for repositioning when you lift it off the mouse pad and put it back. We hadn't noticed that (mea culpa), since none of our test players is really in the habit of picking up his mouse. But it is a real problem, and if you're among those people who reposition by lifting the mouse clear off the pad, you may be bothered by it. Logitech is aware of the problem and says they're working on a solution."

It doesn't say when it will be fixed just that they are aware and are working on it.

I too am looking for a wireless combo, had a wireless Desktop Elite and it went on the fritz, think of either Microsofts Elite Blue tooth or the Logitech bluetooth. Any one have one or the other?

It's funny you mention the diNovo, as kd2777 is a friend of mine. I mentioned I was looking at the diNovo, and now I believe he is rooting for me to purchase it so he can take a looksie. However, if Logitech can fix the problems with the MX1000, then couple it with a nice keyboard set (diNovo anyone?), I would be inclined to purchase it. But I guess I'll play the waiting game. Anyone want to guess the price on a diNovo keyboard/pad and MX1000 combo??? :D

i spoke to a logitech rep when i was in the digital life convention in new york and asked this same question. his answer was at least six months from the release of the 1000. i just bought the 1000 with the saitek gamer keyboard and so far this combo is great.

The diNovo would be nice, but if it gets paired with the MX1000 that is going to make it a 200.00 combo, and that is amazingly expensive. Any way I just got an email back from MS on my desktop Elite and it looks as if they are going to be sending me a new one. So I guess I am out of the new desktop hunt. That is unless someone wants to buy this one.......

I was really interested in the mx1000 until I saw that the receiver for it wouldn't support any logitech keyboards. The only way to have the mx1000 and a cordless keyboard is to have two receivers connected to your pc, yuck.
