I won an eb@y auction for a p4 1.6ghz laptop chip for £10 ($18ish) and it turned out to be a pentium M 1.6ghz!!! All I need now is a supporting motherboard. The only one I have found is £220! ridiculous. Anyone seen anything else?

I have found 2 mini itx boards so far, but the cost is circa £200 or almost $350!

Possibly the P4-M chips, but this is a Pentium M ("Centrino" basis) chip and doesn't share a socket or architechure.

General Hardware thread

And I know I posted several times about Mini-ITX Pentium M boards from Commell (but as stated, they're pricey) and Radisys (?) also makes a MATX one with a regular AGP slot.

The pins on a P-M are different to a p4-m. Poweleap make an adaptor, but will only sell with a cpu :-(
