Any news on a 12" MacBook Pro?

Not yet, but then, Apple never releases previews of their stuff. All we really know is that all of their products will be Intel-based by December. Apple would be dumb to drop something as cool as their 12" notebook...I know tons of people at school who have them. The rumors are that the new MacBook will sport different colors, as well as a 13.3" widescreen plus a webcam. I dunno if they'll release a 12" version if they do that, but I'll buy a 13.3" MacBook, especially if it has a Core Duo.

goddamn i've been waiting for a 12"ish macbook pro!#!@ or a dell ultraportable dual core... sony is the only real option right now... the lenovo doesn't have an optical drive, or i'd get it.

when i bought my powerbook a couple weeks ago the mac genius (for whatever that is worth, it's his title i guess) there said if i wanted a 12" powerbook i was safe buying the G4 but if i wanted an ibook i should wait a 3-4 weeks.

so read into that whatever you wish.
