Are there any new WebOS phones on the horizon??? I really love WebOS. I think it's the best OS out there right now. Only thing holding it down is lack of exposure. We have the Pre and Pixi. Hope they're rolling on some new ones.

Until Palm gets bought by Nokia, I believe all their future phones will be WebOS.

It's rumored that the Verizon Pre will be an updated version but most likely it will be only a memory increase to 16GB's. That will likely be it until the Pre's successor comes out.

It looks like Palm is keeping the OS to themselves for now, and they only have two phones. Pre and Pixi.
And I dunno how long the Pixi will last. I dont think its selling as well as they'd hoped.

If the promise of GPU accelerated performance is believed, webOS is going to be one bitching phone OS.

WebOS has a capabiliy of becoming a major player in the market. The internal hardware of the phone is very nice and high end but it is being run crippled with the GPU turned off. Turn that and run the CPU at full speed and the it will be one of the fastest phones on the market. I installed a patch that cranked the CPU from stock under-clocked 500Mhz to the original spec 600Mhz and it made a world of difference.

Next get exterior hardware. The Pre was fine in design but real world has told us that as it was spec'd it can't hold up to daily wear and wear. A larger screen is a must. Personally I would really like them to take the Droid form factor. Fix the flatbread keyboard and put that out as an awesome phone. We should hear something of Pre 2 at CES in January.

The Pre really doesn't need a bigger screen. Sure it could use one and it'd be nice but it actually shows more stuff on the screen when surfing the net and doing other stuff than the iPhone cus it hides it's icons most of the time. I really hope a new Pre comes out soon or at least an updated one.
