My contract is up pretty soon. I think I am planning on going month to month to keep my unlimited data for as long as possible. 4GB wouldn't be bad, but they killed off the double data plans in the middle of my contract.
4GB is perfect because I stream music. If I don't stream, I hit about 1.5GB. I really don't want to be held to 2GB.
AT&T offers 4GB as the minimum data plan. However, their 3G is spotty and slow at my work, and can be difficult indoors in many of the places I frequent.
I live in Orange County, CA. So coverage is okay on any road, shopping centers, etc. I would like to test their LTE at my work, their map says it's solid there and the surrounding blocks.
I would love T-Mobile, but their really fast HSPA+ falls off immediately any indoors around here. I think they cover freeways when they expand and upgrade, and then call it day and move on to the next market.
Sprint could be viable in the next several months if they hit their goals. Their 3G at my work, works. Not the fastest, but not crawling like many other areas. Their LTE + upgraded 3G expansions are hitting the area soon, but it's not here yet.
So, I was thinking about buying a Moto Razr HD Maxx on CL to keep my options open. I can leave at anytime, or buy a subsidized upgrade if VZW gets anything decent AND bump up their measly data packages. I doubt the latter will happen for quite sometime.
I honestly covet the idea of AT&T's more international-ish bands. The idea of buying an unlocked phone from the UK and popping a SIM into it is damn tempting. My only problem is the N4 is non-LTE, sorry got too used it.
I don't know, I'm in quite the pickle.
