From AnandTech's mo-bdreview of 7/19/06 (Conroe Buying Guide: Feeding the Monster) on, I have followed several additional reports. In my own summary (of course, very brief!), the ASUS P5W-DH Deluxe comes at the top, and is followed by ASUS P5B and the Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6. This ranking is especially in view of OC ability and price. All these three are around $269 in current market.
One update is the ASUS P5B with newer BIOS 0507, released 8/24/06 by AanadTech. It seems to raise up P5B's ranking level just about close to P5W-DH Deluxe with only one important feature missed--CrossFire.
That's about all I can see. But my question is this: does the ranking and quality review of these top-of-the-line motherboards released two months ago still hold today? With these two months' agressive development from all the m/b manufactures, are there any changes in affecting the ranking? It seems to me that though recently a number of new mo-bd come to the market the majority of them are in budget or low-ends. So my impression of mo-bd's ranking basically remains the same, i.e., P5W-DH still on the top and P5B right after it.
I am considering a little premium mo-bd, something in, or close to the top of the line. It looks like P5W-DH Deluxe is starting to win my favor.
What do you think, experts or enthusiasts? any comment is welcome!
