I've read about software bugs... and such.. have these been worked out?

Software wise the player is in great shape and has a TON of cool features. It's main problem was a weak headphone jack that was prone to break after just a few months. I say "was" because supposedly it was fixed with the latest models but only time will tell.

Check out this link to get to the creative forums. They have alot of good info there.

The latest firmware got rid of the power drain while in standby problem the player was having and that was the last major software complaint I know of.

I've had mine for about a month now and love it. I use the firmware that reduces the drain and allows windows to read it as a HD type device. IT's very easy to use and the SQ is better than the other players i've heard.

I take it to work everyday...so it gets a lot of use
