6-8 months is a long time! Here's some of the best (hopefully):
Mass effect (Out in a few days!!), Devil May Cry 4, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, Spore, Alan Wake, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, Empire: Total War, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, Far Cry 2, Prototype, X3: Terran Conflict,
Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3.
I think these games will tax the GPU the most until the end of the year.

Thanks ^u^y i see a few i will add to my list i can't wait to start my new build. FX-60 is starting to fell a bit old XD

Voice of experience says: Don't get Empire: Total War until the expansion comes out. The Total War games are always buggy as sh*t when they first come out, and they never bother fixing the real serious issues until they're done making the expansion. Provides another incentive for us consumers to upgrade, see? I can't decide whether my favorite was the infamous MII:TW Shield Bug or the mysterious ninja super-powers of routing troops back in Shogun: TW. Both of those made me wonder whether they tried playing the game even once before it shipped...

Mass Effect is out now, go get it at CC for $40 or wait until Sunday to get it at BB for the same price.

Stalker: Clear Sky and Empires: Total way should be out around Fall. That's all I'm looking forward to on PC. Come on MGS4...

Waiting for the expansion is not a bad play. Get the patched original AND the expansion in a bundle (Silver/Gold/Platinum/GOTY/whatever bundled package) for the same price, or cheaper, than the original alone. Funny now that I think of it. I was at BB yesterday getting a clearance $30 upconverting DVD player (via Hot Deal thread), and I noticed those numb nuts still had the MWII/TW stocked at the same price as the MWII/TW+Expansion. Not that I would buy it form them anyway, being a Devil Shopper(tm) and all. Got both original and expansion from Target on clearance (via another Hot Deal thread) at 60% less than Breast Buys prices.

*My* Voice of experience says: Don't pay full retail (or near full retail) for ***ANY*** new game until the second major patch comes out. Why the second and not the first? Because the modern day POS publishers force developers to ship way too early, and the first major patch is part of the 'activation' process requiring a massive patch download. Even then I rarely pay more than half or quarter the suggested retail price. That is what Hot Deal message boards are for, whether here or FW or CAG or wherever. In the mean time, I still have a huge backlog of games purchased from Target clearances and gogamer sales and Half Price Bookstore, and even replay a classic when enticed into it.

Back on topic: The only coming game that peeks my interest is Fallout 3. I have already replayed Fallout 1, 2, Tactics this spring in anticipation. I expect most to be disappointed with #3, though. We will see...
