Any negatives in having two checking accounts?

I have a BofA checking acct already, but sometimes there are no BofA ATMs around and a close one is a WaMu ATM. If I open a WaMu acct, since it's free anyway, would there be any harm in that? My credit kicks ass and I don't want anything to hurt my precious.

Why would there be any negatives? Plenty of people have multiple checking accounts.

Having 10 bank accounts has nothing to do with your credit score since you are dealing with YOUR money. Your credit score is concerned with money you BORROW.

Providing you keep a nice balance in each, you get more branches to cash checks at and more ATMs to use fee free,

i link my paypal account to my wamu that has $.50 in it usually. i use bofa as my normal checking account.
