other than Cirque du Soleil? I've already bought a ticket for Sun 7:30 pm - i've been a huge fan ever since I saw them on HBO 20-odd years ago (or so).

I'm going for a conference the first week in Oct.

i know it's a little far out, but I wanted to make sure I got tickets to the shows I wanted to see.

thanks for the ideas.
rp.

EDIT: will probably be staying at Mandalay Bay

as long as they're in pairs, i'm totally fine... as a matter of fact, the more pairs the better.

i liked the beatles 'love' at the mirage. just try and avoid taking any hallucinogenics before the show, or you might start freaking out like ben in 'knocked up'.

Blue Man Group. you need front row seats. a lot of it is in their eye expressions. such a fun time.

Cirque Du Soleil. I've heard all of the other shows are good, but I was so blown away by the two shows I saw... words honestly cannot express.

I saw both 'Love' and 'Mystere'. I personally like Mystere more. It's got *everything* you would ever want to see in a show.

I WILL see this show again, no matter what.

If you haven't seen it in NY, Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular was amazing. It's a production of Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian.

I've seen Mystere 3 times and "O" once. they are unbelievable - that's why I make sure always to catch at least 1 Cirque show while there.

edit: btw, i think those 50 tickets are "limited view" seats - still better than nothing.

The World's Greatest Magic Show at the Greek Isles Casino in the northern part of the strip. The house is small, so any seats, even the cheap ones are good. About $30-70 when you buy at the half price houses. Two shows nightly. A lot of good talent....somewhat of the "farm team" for the major magicians.

I saw Kevin James perform last December, who is now famous because of America's Got Talent.

Excellent show.

Le Reve (spelling?) was awesome. And I'm not a fan of live shows/performances.

what's it about?

I couldnt tell you what it's about, but I can tell you that it was quite a performance to watch. It's a water show, with people doing acrobats all over stage and into pools of water.

If you do go, pay the extra money and buy the VIP seats in the champagne circle. This way, you're not in those cramped seats near the splash zone. They put you up in these comfortable sofas, with a table for your drinks, a mini tv to watch underwater, a bottle of champagne, a server, and chocolate dipped strawberries. It definetly made the experience comfortable for my gf and I.

While the boobs are nice, there was a little too much drag queen and man-on-man action for my tastes. Still a good show, but I wouldn't go again...

Both Mystere and O are great shows.
