Thats because 1. The Asus SLI board is the hot thing right now, and 2. It is NEW, lots of bugs being worked out.
Trust me Q4 of last year, the boards were plastered with MSI problems too when it was the "hot thing".
To get at your original question. Most of the early problems I have seen with the MSI board have been worked out in BIOS updates, the newer boards seem pretty solid. Of course I am sure there are still several people having problems with the MSI, and I am sure you will hear about them shortly. For me, I have had the board mmm maybe about a Month.. It has been perfect for me. It came with 1.41 bios, no problems with it so far, using a 3200 Winchester and 2x512 PDP Patriot tccd memory. I have read of other MSI boards having longevity problems ie taking a crap after several months. Obviously I cant comment on that now, but if it happens to me in the future, you guys will be the first to know.
This was my 1st MSI board, I have always used Abit or Asus. I decided agains the ASUS this time bcause I have not had good luck with Via chipsets (Intel platforms and ooold Slot Athlons). If ASUS/ABIT made a Nforce 3 board, I would have went with that one.
