my wife got "man on fire" and she fell asleep. i watched the whole thing. the story was good, but waaaay too much slow motion and flashing/jumping camera angles, it almost made me naseous. all that stupid cinematography made a 2.5 hr movie an extra hour long

but it was good overall

I thought Smokin' Aces was a horrible, horrible movie that was way more boring than the previews let on. I expected nonstop, over the top action, and I got a movie that was so boring I fell asleep three times in the first hour.

The only redeeming quality was the Tremor brothers. They had what, 15 minutes of total screentime?

If you haven't seen Blood Diamond, check it out. I enjoyed it very much. I imagine it'd be beautiful in a high-def format if you have that option available.

A surprise for me was Stranger Than Fiction. Good movie.

Casino Royale was good.

Man On Fire was also good.

CRANK!!!

Keeps going from beginning to end. Very enjoyable. Not a "good" movie as in oscar worthy, thought provoking, but a really fun action flick.

Definitely more nonstop fun than Smokin' Aces, but it's enough older that monk3y has probably already rented it.

Transporter 2 was stupid, but also entertaining (and more so than Smokin' Aces).

I thought Smokin' Aces was a horrible, horrible movie that was way more boring than the previews let on.

It wasn't great, but was watchable and is the only "dumb fun" movie I can think of that came out on DVD in the last couple of weeks.
