Any motorcylce riders from the DC/Metro/NOVA area?

I'm looking to get a bike, I know how to ride, will be taking the MSCV course, and am planning on buying a bike pending on a few things.

THe main concern is the traffic and roads in the area. Do you find it enjoyable to still ride? Have you experienced riding anywhere else? I am from the area, but have been in Richmond for the past 4 years for school and there are plenty of nice roads around here to ride on without much traffic.

So how do you feel riding in NoVa?

I'm not from that area, but you can checkout riderforums.com or sport-touring.net for some straight up info about motorcycling.
