Those of you waiting on EP3 should just hang up your hats for awhile. Gabe hasn't yet figured out a way to sell us the original HL2 again. Once he does they'll announce the "green box" with EP3 for another $50.

when that happens i'll prolly bitch about it but then realize that the other games included in teh bundle were more than worth the 50 dollars. just like tf2/portal with the orange box.

I bought the Orange box but it wasn't worth it IMO. I enjoyed EP2 and Portal but had no interest in TF2 and I had already bought HL2 when it first came out. If they do the same thing again i'll just wait until EP3 is available by itself. I don't need 3 copies of HL2..

On the other hand, if the "green box" comes with a new CS game I might reconsider.

from where i'm standing, 50 bucks for games like portal and ep2 is worth is considering what you get for most full priced games. sucks you didn't get into tf2. its a phenomenal game.

Not worth it IMO, but I do realize some may feel those two titles were worth $50. Same with TF2. I tried to get into it but it just wasn't my thing, so to each there own I guess. I just wish Value would have given us the option of buying only EP2 when it was originally released. I caved and bought the entire Orange box just to get it the first week, and while Portal was a great addition I felt like a sucker after I finished EP2 which was what.. about 5 hours or something.

I got ep1 + the new stuff + gave a friend the original half life2. Thought orange box was an awesome deal because I liked everything in it, but I can understand feeling a little ripped off if you only liked one part of it. There's some full games that had less playable value than any one part of the orange box though.

ep2 alone was 30 bucks when it was first released.

I prefer it that they keep concealing things entirely rather than showing videos and pictures and then delaying it, that would have been much more frustrating, but the only thing we have of H-L3 are concept arts that are almost as old as EP2, so there's not much in my opinion to be very disappointed about, and besides we have many other games to look after for this year outside of the H-L franchise, Dragon Age and ME2 are both already generating enough buzz and success to either help completely forgetting about H-L or at least reduce the "hype" that might be existing for EP3.
