dell just put back shipping on my monitor again, i ordered it the 4th of january and now they predict i'll get it between the 1-3rd of febuary. this is unacceptable and i really want to take my money elsewhere but its a catch 22 because i cant find another company w/ a monitor that can compete w/ the dell price and performance wise. and the dell return policy where they send before you send to them is great im just wondering if theres a solution to get by dell without giving them my business...

Well FWIW, I ordered mine on Jan 1st... 2-3 days ago they said my shipping date would be the 20th. Last night I checked and the status is now 'shipped'.

I know there's no way to know for sure... and there was another guy here on AT who ordered like Jan 4th (3 days after me!) and got his monitor on the 10th or so.

If I were you I'd try to hang on a few more days... aside from the defective panels, most of the user feedback I've been seeing is overwhelmingly positive on this thing.
 
I too got the delay e-mail. I ordered on the 5th.

I'm going to call and see if they can at least refund my shipping or something.

I thought about cancelling, but I don't know. I might and just wait to see their 24" one when it comes out.
 
Dell's 'expected' dates are worthless... pretty much everything I've ordered came before it was due to ship. Apparently, my 2005FPW included...

Ordered on 1/11; given expected ship date of 1/25. Had to call in CC info on 1/12 (for some reason?), and then received notice it shipped just a few hours later that same day from TN.

I'm hoping the 2005FPW will be enough too. I was ready to order the L2335... drooling over its 1920x1200 res, but decided to see if this will appease me and save a thousand hard earned bucks. We'll see.

I can't image Dell's new 24" panel will go for under 1300, even on the hotest deals.


(Too damn bad all those hugh, cheap LCD TV panels have such low res....)

i would call to refund shipping, but i got free shipping- guess i got what i paid for
 
Golly. Mine came in days... but then again um in canada. There doesn't seem to be anything else that compares to the dell monitor. Worth waiting for. Lots of them are on ebay too. I haven't seen anything else available other than the apple.
