looking for 2x1gb sticks, shall I go for the 'high end " ones, or just normal ones? is there any ram that I shoud avoid, thanks

 
asus and corsair go together very well.corsair is usually involved in the certifying of ram for their boards.ive never had a problem with any asus board and corsair ram.
