I just bought s used Mazda 6. Its a 2004 with 28000 miles on it. I really love everything about the car from the looks to the performace. THe one thing I hate is the gas mileage right now. I may have messed up figuring it but its not good. Does anyone have any experience with gas mileage with this car and what do you think of the car.

The car has the 3.0 liter V6 engine.

PaulNEPats---> The car cost 16500 after trading in a car worth about 800. The 16500 was the price out of the door including all taxes, processing fees, etc. The car is in immaculate condition also.

Wow, great price and nice choice

Yeah, it was a great price and the looks of the car are so nice. Its also just got enough sportiness to it while still having plenty of room in the backseats. I would recommend people to look at it if they are in the market for a new car.

Don't have one, but when I was car shopping, I almost bought one. As I recall, the V6's fuel economy is relatively poor for a smallish car. What are you getting? Manual or auto tranny?

Fuel is so expensive right now you really should think thrice before buying a 6 cylinder car.

gas mileage =! gas prices

My mom has a mazda 6. It doesn't get very good gas mileage though. I think it gets around 18mpg city maybe? I don't remember.

yeah for fuel economy you have to go with a v8... anything else and you wont be able to afford gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2003 Mazda 6s sedan. I average about 21mpg driving 80/20 city/highway. It's not the best mileage, but it's not the worst either.

it's all personal opinion...

and I have the little brother too.. ~27mpg 😀 I REALLY want to trade it in for the mazdaspeed6.. turbo+awd madness... or i could pop a turbo in mine when I have spare dough... heh

My wife and I traded in our 04 Mazda6 (after Mazda replaced our 03) for an 05 STi. It was a great car, although the auto transmission in my Titan is smoother than the 5spd auto in the Mazda6, but we were looking for something with more fun 🙂
