Any massive GPU reviews?

A few years ago there was a really interesting GPU roundup over at Tom's Hardware where they threw together pretty much every video card ever made and compared like old ATI Rage cards to Radeon 9800's.

Is there a more recent version of this floating around anywhere? It'd be amusing to see how my old NVidia Vanta card stacks up against an 8800GTS. 🙂

I think they still update it, though I don't think they go even as old as the Radeon 9800.

Aye, they'd have to run some very old games to test against old cards, and these games are probably very CPU limited, thus after a certain point, you wouldn't see the true difference.

Digit-life had another pretty extensive one a few years back, but they have not (AFAIK) done an updated one with newer cards.

Other than the "hehe, look how slow that ATI RAGE card is!" factor, there is not much to be gained from one of these. DX7 games will be CPU-limited on newer cards except at very extreme settings (e.g. 2560x1600 with 8xSSAA), and very old cards can't run newer games because they require DX8/DX9 hardware support. IMO it's pretty pointless to compare today's cards to anything before the GF3/R8500 generation.
