If there any Marboro Light smokers here, have you noticed a drop in quality lately? For the past week, I'm noticing the smokes have kind of a damp flavor, and are reluctant to stay lit. Before lighting, they appear and smell normal. I'm buying my smokes 1 at a time all over the Boston area, so it's not like it's 1 bad truckload. Just curious, thanks.

Your smokes from all over the state came by train -a giant box-car carries them through the state where they're taxed, stamped (bottom of the pack to show tax is paid), and broken up into different distribution channels.

They *did* all come from the same truck, only that truck has steel tires instead of rubber. :p

When I was in college there was a guy who'd come around once a week with a giant bag full of cartons of smokes. None of them had tax stamps. He stole the right off the train. Guy made a fortune.

I have noticed that my cigs seem to have a bit of trouble staying lit lately, but there hasn't been any noticeable change in flavor.

I don't know why they put in fire retardant in cigarettes. If a smoker is stupid enough to fall asleep with a lit cigarette they deserve some scarring.

it depends on the place you get it from... get it from a grocery store like walgreens or 7-11... mom and pops liquor stores have stale cigarettes
